Our vision for the future must heavily involve the mental health of our early years workforce, which must go beyond statutory and legal obligations. This can be achieved through the Workwell programme and making a commitment to creating a collation of care.
The Workwell mental health platform is not about cure. It is about striving for prevention and early intervention, it is about identifying those first indicators so that employers can provide targeted support, intervention, care, and connection before we hit crisis point. We must be clear about increasing the mental health literacy of our workforce and creating a zero stigma around mental health to safeguard the wellbeing of educators for the present and the future.
